The 11th National Pacific Business Trust Awards were celebrated at Eden Park on Friday 22nd June 2018 and Moana Research were excited to have been nominated in two categories – HATCHing Pacific Business and Social Enterprise.  The awards evening provided an opportunity to ‘shine a light’ on the many Pacific businesses and social enterprises in operation across New Zealand.

As a newly established Social Enterprise (July 2017), we were honoured to have won this category.  Our vision has always been about helping our Pacific mothers, children, families and communities thrive.

“We want to work in the community where our work, our research and the projects we work on is owned by the community, stays in the community and not hidden away.” – Dr Teuila Percival

“Our vision is that Pacific children have the best start in life so that when they start school they are on a level playing field as everybody else.” – Jacinta Fa’alili-Fidow

Thank you Richard Taurima, from Pacific Business Trust who has mentored us from the beginning and Stella Muller from Bright Sunday for your branding expertise.
